I have the exact same condition, except, for me, it's on the hairline and maybe far worse but I can't see it. Also, I'm ethnically from India, and the American cold weather dries me out, because in tropical, coastal India, I never complained of 'dry anything'. If anything, it was the exact opposite back home. T-gel screwed my scalp up, it absolutely didn't help. There's this miracle Ayurvedic Oil available in South India that I'm going to try next - and everyone I know who has used it swears by it. It's contains an ancient Indian herb Wrightia Tinctoria. I'm not selling this product or marketing it, but if you believe in alternative medicine, you could research this product - Grameen Herbals Indeevaram Oil, and the ingredient Wrightia Tinctoria. Good luck.
Oh, and by the way, I'm also going to try Apple Cider Vinegar. The other thing that helped me is Coconut Milk and Avocado Scalp treatment and hair mask.
